Opportunities to Give

Fondren is in a period of transition as we return to in-person worship and fellowship and begin our search for a new pastor. We are excited about Fondren’s future, and we hope you share our excitement. Now, more than ever, we need each member to express commitment to the church through dedication of his/her time, talents, and financial resources. We ask you to prayerfully consider these giving opportunities:

The Christmas Joy Offering

A special offering that supports two ministries of the Presbyterian Church (USA): 1) Current and retired church workers and their families in need, and 2) Presbyterian-related schools and colleges equipping communities of color. For a few weeks during the Christmas season, we invite you to give toward this special offering.

Presbyterian Women 2021 Thank Offering

Since 1888, women in the Presbyterian church have expressed their deep sense of gratitude for God’s blessings in their lives by giving back to people in their communities and around the world. Through the Thank Offering, we can help fund programs that provide education, relief from disasters, safe housing, cooking instruction, training for justice and advocacy work, and so much more. All members of Fondren are urged to help celebrate and give generously to the ministries chose for the 2021 offering.

Columbarium Expansion

Plans are underway to construct Fondren’s second columbarium unit. A survey was conducted last year, and several members indicated interest in purchasing a niche and/or contributing to support the construction of the second unit. We welcome your support.

Year-end Giving to Capital Campaign

The church will formally launch a Capital Campaign in the spring/summer of 2022 to fund repairs and improvements to the building. Proposed projects focus on gathering spaces where the congregation can worship and build community around shared values. The Capital Campaign fund has been established and can receive gifts at this time.
