Fondren Presbyterian Church is located in the heart of the Fondren neighborhood. You'll find the main entrance on the south side of the church, near the back of the parking lot. The main lot offers spaces for those with disabilities. Additional parking is available in the extended lot beyond the Hood House.
The Sunday worship service is at 11:00 AM in the Sanctuary. The service lasts about one hour. We share Communion the first Sunday of every month.
Fondren doesn't have a dress code. Some men wear suits or coats and ties; others wear khakis. Women wear dresses or slacks. Dress comfortably but respectfully.
Children are welcome at Fondren! On Sunday mornings, childcare is available for infants and toddlers. Children ages 3-5 remain in the service until after the children's sermon when they are dismissed to go downstairs for childcare.
Sunday Church School
Fondren Presbyterian Church offers classes for all ages at 9:30 AM each Sunday. Nursery care is provided for infants. For information about classes, see Learning.
Second Sunday Lunch
Each second Sunday, September through June, we gather after worship for a delicious catered lunch. First-time visitors are our guests. Please join us. It's a great way to get to know the Fondren family.
Fondren offers a variety of activities on Wednesday evenings. The Handbell Choir practices at 5:15 PM. Supper is at 6:00 PM (potluck with entrée provided; members bring side dishes and desserts) followed by a time of prayer and a program. Wednesday programs include Bible studies, special topics related to Christian life and the church, vespers, and topics of community interest. The Adult Choir practices at 7:30 PM. There are activities for children.
To learn about Fondren's many other opportunities, see Worship, Learning, Ministries, and Fellowship.
Childcare is provided for all worship services and activities.
